You gotta know about how to manage a server, how to deal with different technologies and how to find the best images for your blog! Well, if you have got everything by your side and just confused with Where Can I Find Free Images for My Blog? This post is totally for you! Today, I will tell you about the best platforms where you can find images for your blog that are free of cost!

Where Can I Find Free Images for My Blog?

Well, when someone starts blogging, they think that they can use any image available on Google Image search! But, that’s not the best practice! If you use images found on search engine, you will find yourself in legal trouble sooner or later. The best practice for uploading images on your blog is, by finding them from free stock images platforms or you can also capture your own photographs and upload them to your blog. But, it is not feasible to go and capture everything that you are writing on your blog! So, you should have a look at these stock images platforms mentioned below to find the pixel perfect images for your blog.

Pexels

Pexels is one of my favorite websites that I came across earlier when I started blogging. Here you can find millions of royalty free images that are ready to be used on your blog. All you have to do is just download them, resize them according to your blog’s preferences and upload them! Also you can find 4K videos shared by creators on this platform. If we talk about what Pexels allows, well they are providing all the photos and videos for free to use and the best thing about pexels is that you do not even have to give an attribution for using the pics! But, it would be appreciated if you give proper credits to the photographer or pexels, but again it’s not necessary. Also, you can modify, edit the photos or videos you have downloaded from pexels and you can use them anywhere you want. But, there are a few things that you should keep in mind before using these pictures. Read more about Pexels licensing here.

Unsplash

This is the website which I recently came across when I was learning UI/UX designing. Actually there was a plugin of Unsplash on Figma that was suggested by my mentor for using on UI designs. Unsplash is a great platform where you can find high-resolution stock images that can be used on a blog, no matter it is for commercial or non-commercial purposes. The site says there are over 3 million pictures uploaded by the world’s most generous community of photographers and using the images is free of cost! Unsplash was found in 2013 as a tumblr blog and since then it has grown into an industry leading stock images provider. If we talk about license, well unsplash also allows you to use all their images for free of cost (except Unsplash+ images which is $8/month). Also, you can use images for Commercial and non-commercial purposes and you don’t have to provide any Photo credit (though attribution is appreciated). But, there are a few things that you should keep in mind before using these pictures. Read more about Unsplash licensing here.

Pixabay

Pixabay is where I usually go if I can’t find what I need on Pexels or Unsplash. They have collection of 4.1 million+ stunning free images that can be used anywhere! Recently they have also added illustrations, vectors, videos, music, sound effects and GIFs too! Which makes it even more interesting. Like I also had no idea about these extra benefits of Pixabay before I was writing this post. You can sort the collection by Editor’s choice (default), Latest or trending. Based in Germany, Pixabay was co-founded by Hans Braxmeier and Simon Steinberger. If we talk about licensing, it is the same as Pexels and Unsplash. But, give a read to Pixabay licensing before using the images here.

Freepik

Well, this is one of the best website for free images that I have come across. Here you can find the perfect pictures that will suit your blog topic. But, I don’t visit this very much because whatever I like is usually premium lol! But, I can say they have the most amazing pictures and you can read about the license of a particular image on the page of that image. Usually, these images are free to use but you have to give attribute for using these images. If you have a blog or a website, you can give them credits on a credit page. Apart from images, you can also find Vectors, AI Images, Icons, Videos, PSD, 3D Files and Fonts on Freepik.

So, these four are actually my favorites and I use them most of the times. Also, the featured image on this page was taken from Unsplash! Well, why don’t you comment your favorite stock image site so other users can also benefit from it?
